RON 33 mln tourist mini-port opens in the Danube Delta

A new mini-port for tourists was inaugurated today in Sf. Gheorghe, Danube Delta. The project totaling RON 33 million included the construction of 4 basins that can receive 108 small boats and 15 large boats, a parking space for boats and a small repair shop.Administrative and security buildings were also placed in the premises.     

The Romanian Ministry of Tourism and Development allocated RON 32 million for this project that is expected to create new jobs, better standards for the mooring of passenger vessels, improving the tourism industry in this area.

The construction works started in 2009, and suffered a 1 year delay. This project is part of national tourism sub-program ” The balanced and integrative development of the tourist area in The Danube Delta and the Black Sea resorts”.
