Romania’s non-governmental loans balance up by 1.4 pct in September

According to the National Bank of Romania (BNR), the non-governmental loans balance grew by 1.4 percent in September compared to the previous month, reaching RON 232.7 billion.

The RON loans increased by 1.9 percent while the foreign exchange loans gained 0.6 percent. At the end of September the non-governmental loans  recorded a growth of 7.3 percent (5.4 percent in real terms) compared to September 2016.

The government loans grew in September by 0.3 percent up to RON 97.26 billion compared to August. In September 2017 the government loans volume gained 12.3 percent year-on-year.

The monetary base (M3) recorded a balance of RON 332.3 billion. Compared to August the monetary base increased by 0.6 percent and compared to the same month of the previous year it grew by 12.3 percent.
