The gross minimum wage in Romania will reach RON 1,900 starting January 2018 compared to the current amount of RON 1,450, according to a government decision.
The increase comes on the back of the government’s plans to shift the payment of social contributions from employers to employees.
For a full-time work program, averaging 166 hours per month, the average hourly gross wage will stand at RON 11.40 per hour.
