Starting 2019, Romanian taxpayers will communicate with the tax authority National Agency for Tax Administration (ANAF) online only, starting 2019.

In a move aimed to digitalise its services, ANAF has equipped self service computers in 98 percent of its offices. Upon request, taxpayers will be directed by tax inspectors to meet their tax obligations, the institution said in a press release.

“The best way for taxpayers to get acquainted with online services is by using them,” says ANAF, who posted the list of offices where this new taxpayer service is available.

Fiscal inspectors will also support taxpayers and allow them to get familiar with any online service provided by ANAF: Enrollment in the Virtual Private Space, submission of statements, consultation of existing guidelines and information on the ANAF website, etc.
