Romanian Senate adopts public sector salary law

The Romanian Senate has adopted with amendments the draft law on the salaries of public sector workers. Next, the law will be debated in the Chamber of Deputies.

The project was initiated by Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE) MPs.

The governing coalition announced that 1 June is the deadline for adoption and entering into force of the law.
