The Romanian government will allocate RON 9 million from its budget reserve fund as financial support for activities surrounding Pope Francis’s visit in Romania, between May 31 and June 2.

Pope Francis will visit Bucharest as well as churches and communities in Iasi, Sumuleu-Ciuc and Blaj. Dacia Renault has already started working on two popemobiles, according to reports.

The funds will be directed towards refurbishing some churches that the Pope is expected to visit, and will also be used to ensure the comfort of guests, with accommodation, meals and special events.
