Romania had the largest fall of the production in construction YOY in the EU, at -10.3 percent, being followed at huge distance by Sweden with -1.6 percent, Bulgaria and Spain with -1.2 percent, accordint to Eurostat data.
Comparing with the last quarter, Romania the drop was of 3.7 percent, but it recorded and increased comparing with the last month, of 1.4 percent.
Among Member States for which data are available, the largest monthly decreases in production in construction were recorded in Sweden (-2.4 percent), Germany (-1.8 percent) and Belgium (-0.9 percent). The highest increases were observed in Slovenia (2.8 perecnt), Slovakia (2.5 percent) and Hungary (1.9 percent).
Annual comparison by construction sector revealed that in the EU, building construction rose by 2.5 percent and civil engineering by 2.4 percent.
Among Member States for which data are available, the highest increases in production in construction were
recorded in Slovenia (33.5 percent), Hungary (24.3 percent) and Poland (19.2 percent). Decreases were observed in Romania (-10.3 percent), Sweden (-1.6 percent), Bulgaria and Spain (both -1.2 percent).
