The Romania-Bavaria commercial exchange reached EUR 4.7 billion last year, our country’s exports amounting to some EUR 2.83 billion (up 8.8 percent), while imports remained at the same level with the previous year.

Bavaria holds a large share of 20 percent of trades between Romania and Germany.

According to the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, some 1,400 companies in Bavaria have business activities in Romania, our country being among the top 20 important business partners for the federal state.

In this context Romania will receive the work visit of state secretary with the Ministry for Economy and Media, Energy and Technology in Bavaria, Josef Pschierer. He will be travelling to Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca alongside 30 representatives of Bavaria’s economy, in an aim to strengthen our economic relationship.

“The trip offers SMEs good opportunities to become informed on the market and to know potential business partners,” Pschierer said, adding that during the meetings with decision factors from Romania he will “promote the performance and know-how of our entrepreneurs, Bavaria as an investment area and favorable framework conditions of the economic environment in Romania.”
