Renault opens EUR 166 million technical center in Titu

Renault Technologie Roumanie (RTR) has inaugurated the EUR 166 million investment at the Titu technical center.

At the event were present also president Basescu and Patrick Pelata, operations GM  at Renault. The Titu center comes to complete the Aubevoye and Lardy centers from France and is dedicated primarily to optimize vehicles.

The center is placed on 350 hectares and is formed of 100 testing speces, for vehicles and components. Until the end of the year, the centre will have a team of 300 employees. The first tests on tracks are provided for October this year.

Some 25 percent of the total investment, about EUR 44 million is provided by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
