RCS&RDS introduces EUR 5 / month subscription with unlimited calls and mobile internet

RCS&RDS announced on Friday it will introduce a new subscription, at EUR 5 per month, that includes unlimited calls in any national network and unlimited mobile internet (speeds of up to 21.6 Mbps).

Clients that opt for the new Digi Mobile Optimum Unlimited subscription get unlimited calls and unlimited mobile internet (first 5 GB without a download limit) at a charge of 5 euro per month but only if:

– they are subscribers to Digi Net and Digi TV Cable/Satellite;

– they are subscribers to Digi Net or Digi TV Cable/Satellite and buy between 2 and 4 subscriptions.

If they are subscribed to the aforementioned services and buy a single subscriptions, they will pay a monthly fee of EUR 7 / month for their Digi Mobil Optimum Unlimited subscriptions.

If new clients want to purchase the subscription without being previous users of RCS&RDS services, the package will cost them EUR 10 / month (VAT included).

According to information supplied by the operator, “the access speed varies between 3,6 Mbps, 7.2 Mbps, 14.4 Mbps or 21.6 Mbps, based on the type of equipment used). When exceeding recommended traffic, internet speed will drop to 128 Kpbs download and 64 Kbps upload”.

Earlier in April, RCS&RDS launched a new cloud storage service for its existing clients, some of which get a basic storage package for free.

The company, which thus provides the cheapest options for cloud storage in Romania, according to local media, gives 20 GB of cloud space for free to subscribers of its Fiberlink 500 and Fiberlink 1000 internet packages. An extra 50 GB of space is RON 3 a month, 100 GB – RON 6 and 150 GB is RON 9 (approximately EUR 2).
