The assets managed by Raiffeisen Asset Management have reached the equivalent of EUR 300 million, company officials have announced. About 42 percent of the total (EUR 126 million) are investments in bonds and treasury certificates, out of which almost EUR 70 million are public securities investments. Stock investments and stock funds represent 6.2 percent of total, or EUR 19 million. Almost 59 percent of assets are RON investments while 41 percent are in foreign currency.
“As the social-economic environment becomes more stable and the degree of financial education improves, Romanians will take on more long-term investments,” said Mihail Ion, president of Raiffaisen Asset Management. In his opinion, this would allow customers to obtain higher returns than those offered by current investment structures.
