The Autonomous Administration for Nuclear Activities (RAAN) in Mehedinti has officially entered bankruptcy after the Court of Appeal in Craiova made a final decision, Mediafax informs.

The heavy water plant in Mehedinti had appealed to the decision of the Mehedinti Court to start the bankruptcy procedure, but the Court of Appeal rejected it as unfounded. Euro Insol has been appointed as judicial liquidator and will receive a provisional retribution of RON 20,000 to dissolve and raise the debtor’s right of administration.

The sentence issued Tuesday by the Craiova Court of Appeal is final.

RAAN is insolvent since September 2013, after accumulating debts of RON 680 million. Other debts of over RON 70 million were accumulated during insolvency.
