Professional services firm PwC Romania has appointed Livia Stan as director in the Tax and Legal Services department. She will also be part of the firm’s Public Sector Services team.
Stan has previously held senior roles in the public sector administration. She was general director in the Ministry of Finance and secretary general in the Ministry of Health.
Mihaela Mitroi, Tax and Legal Services leader at PwC Romania, said that the recruitment of Stan will help the firm boost its state aid consultancy services.
“After almost 15 years of experience in the public sector in Romania, I am pleased to provide the business environment in Romania with the experience and expertise that I have gained,” said Stan, according to a statement.
Stan holds a Bachelor degree in law (2002) and a Master in eGovernance (2008), followed by post-graduate studies in urban management at Erasmus University in Rotterdam (2004). She has a significant expertise in the field of public-private partnerships, public procurement and European funds. Over the years, she has held various positions in the central public administration at the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of European Integration, Ministry of Public Finance and Ministry of Health.
She has contributed to the creation and coordination of the PPP Central Unit within the Ministry of Public Finance.
