The German Dräxlmaier Group is considering to extend the manufacturing capacities of its factories in Satu Mare, Codlea and Hunedoara. The project of the German company stipulates that EUR 30 million will be invested in the Satu Mare factory that specializes in autovehicle cabling systems.
The extension works will take place between 2012 and 2013 and will create 1000 jobs. The current investment of the group at Satu Mare totaled RON 113.4 million and created 4300 jobs.
The cumulated investments of Dräxlmaier Group in Romania, since 1993 up to the present, have totaled approximately EUR 200 million and have created around 12.000 jobs.
The official announcement of this investment came after a meeting held today between prime-minister Emil Boc and Fritz Dräxlmaier, the CEO of the German group. Other participants to the meeting include Bogdan Dragoi, state secretary in the Public Finance Ministry, Andreeea Paul Vass, the economic counselor of prime-minister Emil Boc and local administrative directors of the German company.
