Metrorex plans to start attribution procedure for Rahova aa‚¬a€œ Colentina line design works

The Bucharest subway route will be extended through the creation of a new line, Rahova – Colentina, due to be finalized in around seven or eight years, as Metrorex announces through an official press release. An attribution procedure is to be started by the subway company, for the employment of a service provider insuring architectural and engineering services specialized in urban underground public transport.

The new subway line (or Magistrala 7 – M7) will follow a route through Alexandriei – Rahova – Piata Unirii – Mosilor – Colentina – Voluntari areas, insuring access from the South – West, North – East and central parts of Bucharest to Rahova and Colentina neighborhoods. The section’s length will be of 21 km and the probable number of stations will be 31, plus a depot. The documentation and techno-economical details of the investment will be made public in 12 months, states the Metrorex press issue.
