Production of Romanian industry up by 9.2 pct in November

The production of Romanian industry increased year-on-year by 9.2 percent in November on gross series, supported by extractive industry and manufacturing industry growth, according to the data of the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

In October, the industry registered an year-on-year increase by 11.6 percent on gross series.

Cumulated, in the first 11 months of 2017, the industrial production climbed year-on-year by 8.3 percent on gross series.

The manufacturing industry, with the most important contribution in Romania, registered an year-on-year increase in production in November by 10.2 percent.

Also in November, the extractive industry registered an increase by 4.8 percent and the production and the energy supply, gas and warm water and air conditioning dropped by 1.6 percent.

Compared with October, the industrial production dropped by 0.7 percent on gross series, but increased by 0.7 percent as adjusted series according to the number of working days and the season.

In 2016, the industrial production registered a slight year-on-year increase by 1.7 percent after an increase by 2.7 percent in 2015.
