The Maltese company Premier Capital plc, development partner of McDonald’s in 6 European countries, had a 14.5 percent growth of turnover, reaching EUR 263 million for 2017. All markets had an increase in turnover, as the group continues its path of consistent growth.
With a team of 7,500 in Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Romania, Premier Capital served 112 million clients last year, 6 million more than in 2016, establishing a new record for the group.
In 2017, the group had an operational profit of EUR 23.4 million. After accounting for the revenues from investments and financial expenditures, the group had a profit of EUR 20 million before taxes, compared to EUR 16.5 million in the previous year. The net assets for 2017 were as high as EUR 47.6 million.
Each country in the group had a two-figure growth compared to 2016 – the highest in Greece (16 percent), followed by Romania (15.7 percent), Lithuania (14.8 percent), Estonia (12.2 percent), Latvia (10.4 percent) and Malta (10.3 percent). Premier Capital opened seven new restaurants last year: four in Romania, two in Lithuania and one in Greece. Another five restaurants in Romania were refurbished.
In the Baltic countries, Malta and Romania, the McDonald’s brand is market leader in the fast food restaurant sector. The group continues to increase its market share and client base as a result of the improved restaurant experience.
