PNL considers joining government if it receives PM position

Meanwhile, the main partner for PSD in the second elections round, the National Liberal Party (PNL) has already switched sides, saying it would consider forming a government with Traian Basescu’s party, the democratic Liberal Party (PDL), given that they receive the prime minister position in the new government.  PNL’s candidate in the presidential race, Crin Antonescu, came third in the first round of voting. He then made an alliance with Mircea Geoana, backing him up in the race.
