PM Tudose said that the Government, via the Economy Ministry, aims to buy back shares from Daewoo Mangalia to open a state dockyard where could be built frigates for the army.
He says that he discussed with the minister of economy, Gheorghe Simon, about the buy back of the majority stake from Daewoo Mangalia.
„We observed that, together with other ministers, specialists, that the Romanian state doesn’t know to sell anymore. We discovered some skills, how can the Romanian state buy, to have also a dockyard. And I’m telling you that we’ll take it, we’ll have a state dockyard,” said Tudose.
He added that within this dockyard could be built frigates for the army and could even be done their maintenance.
„Maybe we’ll build a boat there. It’s a pity that a country with access to such a big part of the Danube doesn’t have a dockyard with a boat there,” said Tudose.
