Patriarchal Palace in Bucharest to be restored with EU funds

The Patriarchal Palace in Bucharest will be retrofitted and restored with European funds and from the national budget, but also from the beneficiaries. After the restoration works, the palace will be introduced in the tourist circuit. The total value of the project is RON 84.9 million, of which the amount of non-reimbursable financing allocated by the Regional Development and Tourism Ministry is of RON 67.23 million lei (representing 98.00 percent of the total eligible value of the project). The contribution of the beneficiaries is of RON 1.37 million lei.

The Patriarchal Palace in Bucharest will be restored in order to preserve and highlight the national cultural heritage and to increase the importance of culture and religion among Romanian citizens.
