Over 30,000 public administration employees in Romania, on strike, in Bucharest being a protest in front of the Bucharest mayor office, where general mayor office employees are attending, according to Mediafax.

“Our problem is only one: the small incomes and the small salaries. We don’t want big things, we want a fair thing, the applicability of the unitary salaries law. In 2008 salaries, as well as collateral incomes were cut. I have a net income of RON 2,300. An entry level employee reached now the minimum salary on economy, “says Dumitru Cherdan, vice-president of union Forum.

The representatives of National Federation of Administration Union had on Saturday negotiations regarding the salaries rights with the minister of labor, without any success. The union representatives say that the salaries from the public local administration from Romania are the lowest and the most discriminated category from budgetary system, the majority having monthly gross incomes almost the same with the minimum gross salary on economy (RON 1,250 per month).
