Online prices for mobile phones, IT products and clothing items have plummeted by 50 percent, survey shows

Mobile phones, clothing and shoe wear items, computers and electronics are still the best sold products online in Romania, according to the latest Okazii.ro survey. In some cases, prices decreased by 50 percent.

Thus, for certain brands and models of mobile phones, prices have decreased as much as 50 percent this fall, compared to the same interval last year. Clothing items are 25 percent cheaper while electronic products have only lost 10 percent of the price on average.

Items for babies such as accessories, games and stationary products have also decreased by 26 percent. Luxury objects such as jewels and watches have also decreased by 37 percent. Engagement rings with diamonds and other precious gems or classic watches signed by renowned companies continue to be the best sold products.

Average prices of home appliances, heating installations, home and garden decorations as well as perfumes, cosmetics and personal care products have also fallen by more than 10 percent.

The explanation for the fall in prices is that the offer has increased a great deal- more and more Romanians think online sales are a good deal in times of crisis, says the survey.
