The online fashion market in Romania is expected to increase by at least 20 percent this year, according to data from online fashion retailer Answear.ro.

The retailer also expects mobile sales to surpass desktop orders, while offline store consultants will be replaced by couriers.

“In recent years, the fashion ecommerce market recorded steady growth, by at least 30 percent every year, with the trust of Romanian consumers for local online fashion platforms contributing to this increase. Online shopping has several advantages over traditional shopping sites, such as personalization, flexibility and distribution,” stated Raluca Radu, country manager of Answear Romania.

Answear is a multi-brand retailer launched in Poland and active in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, where it was launched at the end of 2015.
