NN Asigurari de Viata’s turnover up by 5.2 pct in 2016 to RON 661.7 mln

The premium insurance subscriptions of NN Asigurari de Viata went up by 5.2 percent in 2016 to RON 661.7 million, according to the data announced on Tuesday by the company. In addition, the gross profit climbed to 31.1 percent to RON 29.8 million.

The financial assets of NN Asigurari de Viata exceeded RON 3.26 billion in 2016, up by 7.7 percent higher compared with 2015.

„2016 was the best year from the last ten years, the business indicators being over the level registered before crisis, in the context of the record economic growth post crisis, supported by monetary policies and stimulative fiscal measures. The comeback of the overall business environment, the growth in employees number and the value of benefits for them were reflected in the evolution of life and health insurances, as well as facultative pensions. The new business line had good results, contributing to the group’s performance in Romania with over 21 percent from the sales in 2016,” said the general director of NN Asigurari de Viata, Marius Popescu, in a press conference.

NN Asigurari de Viata (NN Life Insurance) has entered the Romanian private health insurance market with the launch of the NN Asigurarea de Sanatate (health insurance) product for individuals, in an event that took place on April 7 2016.
