Metro Cash & Carry will open its fifth Metro Punct store on Wednesday. The new unit is located in Ploiesti and has a total sales area of 2,100 sqm with over 4,000 products. According to company representatives, the retailer plans to open another Metro Punct unit by yearend in Turda.

Smaller than the usual Metro Cash & Carry units, the Metro Punct concept targets especially resellers.

German Metro Cash & Carry has been present in Romania since 1996 when it opened its first cash & carry outlet in Bucharest. It now has a national network of 31 stores.
