Rating agency Moody’s has stated that the protests in Romania, that have been the most extensive and violent over the past 10 years, have a negative effect on the rating of the country because they make reform more difficult for the government.
Moody is the first rating agency that takes into account the protests in Romania.
Moody’s rated Romania with Baa3, placing it in the category of countries recommended for investments, with a stable perspective.
At the same time, the rating agency recommends that Raed Arafat, founder of the SMURD emergency service in Romania, take part in the formulation of the new health law, and if the final form of the bill meets conditions imposed by the IMF, EU and the World Bank.
The reform of the health system is part of an agreement with the IMF, EU and the World Bank for a stand-by loan of EUR 5 billion for the Romanian state.
