Ministry of Communications publishes investments expenses. eRomania is the most expensive project

The Ministry of Communications has published on its website the investment expenses it made from 2009 until 2011.

 The list of expenses includes the investments made by the state companies The National Radio Company (SNR) and The Romanian Post.

 From 2009, the Ministry of Communications spent public funds in value of RON 83.6 million (EUR 19.8 million)

 The most expensive project started by the Ministry of Communications in 2009 was Supercomputing 1, which was worth over RON 7.9 million (EUR 1.87 million), which saw the implementation of a hardware platform for governmental IT solutions. The contract was won by Cybernet SRL.

 The most important project in value which was started in 2010 was the second stage of the eRomania project, for which the ministry spent RON 52 million (EUR 12.3 million). The winner of the bid was Omnilogic. The project should be finalized by the end of the third quarter of the year.

 The Romanian Post made investments in value of RON 28.2 million (EUR 6.67 million) since 2009.

 The National Radio Company made investments of RON 238.2 million (EUR 56.4 million) from 2009 until 2011.
