The minister of Justice Tudorel Toader has announced today that he will send the president the official revocation request for the attorney general, Augustin Lazar. He also announced he will send again his five proposals for the vacant management positions in the General Prosecutor Office, that the President already rejected.
“There have been almost two months since I have made this decision. Augustin Lazar tried everything in his power to stall this from happening. On a personal level, it’s understandable, but on the professional level, it’s unacceptable”, Tudorel Toader stated in a press conference.
He also reminded the fact that the General Prosecutor had requested the court to establish whether or not the minister has the ability to evaluate him. His request was rejected.
