Miele Romania reported a 56 percent year-on-year sales increase and a turnover of RON 24,5 million in 2016. According to company representatives, most popular products were vacuum cleaners (approximately 6,000 units), washmachines and driers (over 2,000 units) and dishwashers.
„We witnessed last year a significant growth of the market of white goods in Romania, with focus on the premium segment, therefore there is a trend among clients to focus towards the premium range. Clients appreciate the quality of white goods which receives an increased attention and are starting to understand why quality comes at a price and what the advantages of certain products are,” Loredana Butnaru, Miele Romania director said.
The opening of Miele Point, the company’s store located on Calea Dorobanti, represented the biggest investment of 2016. According to company representatives, the store, represented an EUR 100,000 investment. At the end of 2016, Miele Romania had seven exclusive stores. The company plans to continue investing in the development of the network of stores in 2017.
