Michal Golebiewski is the first expat to join Microsoft Romania since the local subsidiary was founded in 1996. Starting with September 1, he will fill in the position of Business, Marketing and Operations (BMO) Lead. It took several months for Microsoft Romania to recruit a new specialist for this position after Dan Bulucea announced he would step down in March 2010.

“BMO Lead is a key position, extremely complex in Microsoft, we are convinced of the choice we have made and at the same time, we are delighted that Michal chose Microsoft Romania,” said Calin Tatomir, general manager of Microsoft Romania.

Golebiewski started his career in Microsoft 14 years ago and has since filled marketing positions as Product Manager for Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows. Communication positions as PR Manager and Marketing Communications Lead and also worked in operations. The last position he had in Microsoft Poland was Business Planning and Operations Officer, where he was in charge of planning processes in the company and coordinating the marketing and sales teams to reach business targets.
