Newsroom 19/08/2016 | 15:12

The Ministry of European Funds (MFE) opens today projects calls for financing objectives regarding the technical necessary conditions for supplying energy produced from renewable energy, the implementation of monitorization systems of energy consumption at industrial level and the installation of smart electric meter in houses.

The selected beneficiaries  of the projects are the distribution/transport operators of electricity that take energy produced by renewable energy resources, companies from the industry that consume over 1,000 tep/year, and other operators of electric energy distribution that will implement and use the smart electric meters up to 80 percent until 2020.

The renewable sector in Romania has grown exponentially in the past few years, mainly due to a massive influx of investments from foreign players.
