Mega Image could open 80 stores this year

After opening five stores this January, Mega Image could add another 75 new units to its local chain by yearend, according to Ziarul Financiar who quotes market sources.

The retailer now operates 110 stores in Romania, 33 of which were opened in 2011.

Mega Image is owned by Belgian retailer Delhaize. It runs the Mega Image supermarkets and the Shop&Go proximity stores. For the latter the company has announced that it has launched a franchise.
