Medicover, a medical group and insurer, inaugurated today its first Advanced Diagnosis Center in Bucharest. The investment for this project amounted to EUR 500.000, with EUR 350.000 spent solely on the high tech medical equipments, Catalina Balan, CEO Medicover Romania, told BR.
The new center will offer ultrasound and medical imaging services, covering the cardiology, dermatology, nutrition, obstetrics and gynecology specialties.
Balan mentioned that the first Medicover hospital, offering medical and surgery services at European standards will open later this year, with an investment totaling EUR 20 million.
The company is also looking to improve its presence in the medical insurance business, but the constant changes in the health legal framework, prevent Medicover from drawing up a solid expansion plan.
Mediocover has 11 clinics in Bucharest, Cluj, Constanta, Iasi, Ploiesti, Timisoara, Brasov and over 140 partnerships with private clinics. Annually, the company offers health care services to over 100.000 patients.
