Rockaway Group bought the online price comparison sites Compari.ro, Arukereso.hu si Pazaruvaj.com, with the financial support of Daniel Křetínský, Patrik Tkáč and PPF Group, from Naspers. Through this acquisition, the group, with the headquarter in Prague, strengthens its presence on the e-commerce market from Eastern Europe, proving the interest for the comparators segment.
“This transaction is important from many points of view, as the acquisition of the Compari.ro, Arukereso.hu and Pazaruvaj.com sites made steps in reaching the market leader position. The Rockaway group owns the market comparators in expansion, so that in the future the experiences and the information sharing will facilitate both the growth and the positive experience of users,“ said Jakub Havrlant, general director of Rockaway Group.
The comparison site Heureka, also owned by Rockaway Group, is one of the leaders on the Chezck and Slovakian markets. Through the acquisition of the Romanian site Compari.ro, the Hungarian one Arukereso.hu and the Bulgarian one Pazaruvaj.com, the Rockaway Group owns three more portals.
Compari.ro is an online shopping guide present in the Romanian market since 2005. Currently, the sites’ users can summarize the offers of almost 1,000 online stores and can search through over 4.5 million products.
