The loans volume for firms and individuals went up by 1.5 percent in March, compared with February, up to RON 223.1 billion, according to the National Bank of Romania.
The loans in RON went up by 2.4 percent, while the loan in foreign currency expressed in RON increased by 0.2 percent.
On March 31, the non-Governmental loan had an increase by 3.1 percent compared with March 2016, due to the increase by 14.1 percent of RON and the decrease by 9.1 percent of the foreign currency expressed in RON.
The total value of loans in RON to the individuals in March was RON 68.4 billion, a growth by 2 percent compared with February and by 22.6 percent compared with March 2016. The loans for individuals in foreign currency, amounted to RON 45.71 million, down by 0.4 percent compared with February and by 12.3 percent compared with March 2016.
The government loan book increased by 0.2 percent in March compared with February up to RON 96.4 billion.
