IM World, the largest B2B Expo-Conference for IT&Digital Solutions in the SEE, takes place Oct 4-5 at Romexpo, Bucharest’s main exhibition venue.

Day 1

Business Review spoke to Troffee, Redsharp, Woobble, Bright Agency and more.

Troffee – the Netherlands&Romania

Representative: Paul Schrijver

Troffee has built a smart coffee maker that allows you to customise your recipe, order your brew and pay for it using your smartphone. The coffee maker, which features 10′ touchscreen and speakers, OQ Code reader, bluetooth and NFC connectivity, has 2 coffee bins&grinders and offers a selection of 3 toppings and 5 flavours.

The coffee maker, which will be sold starting January 2018 at a price of around EUR 10,000, via a lease contract at around EUR 200 per month is developed mainly in Romania, at the company’s R&D centre in Bragadiru. A vending machine prototype will also be available soon. Manufacturing takes place in Romania and China, where the company found an investor, a family-owned manufacturer in Shenzhen that will ensure mass production. Delivery of customised ingredients and the maintenance of the coffee maker are included in contracts.

What did you bring to IMWorld 2017?

We want to show the world that we have a smart coffee maker that will change the world by allowing us to communicate with the smart device that makes your coffee. Just like in 2007 the smartphone was introduced, you will now have coffee the way you like it, anywhere, just a touch away. Our product also has a strong community engagement side. We use water to make coffee and know that in other parts of the world, water is scarce. That is why, the coffee maker has a function that enables you to donate to a charity that manages water supplies in areas affected by drought. We also want to make a difference and help people share and show that they care about the others as well. Via our function ‘Share a hug&mug’ you can offer anyone, anywhere in the world where a Troffee machine is available, a gift and show them that you care.

What are you looking to find at IMWorld 2017?

IMWorld brings together people who understand the importance of innovation and are well informed about the digital market and connectivity, IoT. And this is exactly what we are offering to the people who want to innovate and offer an enhanced customer experience, by truly engaging in a social context.

RedSharp – Italy&Romania

Representative: Ciprian Rotaru, Account Manager

RedSharp does R&D for SAP solutions, mobile apps for global clients such as Whirpool, Prada, Loropiana and more. A subsidiary of Greensharp Italy, it entered the Romanian market in 2014. Currently, it has a team of 40 consultants and software developers at its Cluj-Napoca headquarters.

What did you bring to IMWorld 2017?

We brought everywa.re, a new IoT product, which can be applied to different scenarios, such as: indoor navigation, asset tracking, people tracking , proximity marketing and footfall analysis. The technology is based on beacons, mobile apps, (for the moment IOS and Android but we’re planning a hybrid for next year).

This year, it was already implemented in a hospital in Italy, and we are in advanced talks with the Romanian Airport Association to implement everwa.re in airports across Romania.

What are you looking to find at IMWorld 2017?

We are looking to find partners and clients for our product, both from Romania and abroad.

Woobble – Romania&UK

Representative: Gabriel Caramis, Chief Executive Woobbler

Woobble is a startup founded in 2017, in Ploiesti and Bucharest, with a British connection. The Bucharest office does digital marketing, web design and development, content marketing strategy and more. The London office does all of that, and is also involved in developing Artificial Intelligence solutions.

What did you bring to IMWorld 2017?

Ourselves! An innovative product we are working on right now is Aurora, a solution that allows companies to coordinate all their departments in order to streamline the workflow. For instance, if a company’s sales department needs something from the legal department, that company usually has in place a procedure involving a number of steps that needs to be followed. We are bringing a solution that allows the company to automate that process and cut the number of steps. The ultimate goal is to free the employee from the repetitive tasks and allow him or her to manage their time better and allow the company to reduce costs. Aurora will be launched by the end of the year.

What are you looking to find at IMWorld 2017?

I have attended many editions of IMWorld. This year, we are looking for open-minded businesses and people, as well as other advertising agencies, to provide them with an audit of their advice and feedback.

Bright Agency – Romania

Created in 2009, as part of Four Ideas, Bright Agency grew and evolved into three separate companies: Bright – a creation, strategy and digital development company, Symbolic Solutions – a backend and mobile development company and Hey, Be Well!, our block chain-based well-being platform. The group employs 30, and Bright, specifically, has a team of 18. Bright has the mission to deliver custom digital experiences to brands.

What did you bring to IMWorld 2017?

We chose to come with our client and partner Beko, which took on the challenge to build a mixed experience blending reality and virtual environment. Via a headset and two joysticks, you can create your own fruit juice using the Beko slow-juicer in virtual reality. When you return to reality, you can drink the juice, which is made for you in real time.

What are you looking to find at IMWorld 2017?

What we were looking for and we already found are people interested in this kind of experiences, particularly clients, business partners and technical experts.

Cegeka – Belgium&Romania

Representative: Sander van Loosbroek

Headquartered in Belgium, Cegeka is also present in other 10 European countries. The company has three data centres and 4,000 employees. Cegeka entered the Romanian market and has its main office in Bucharest. The Romanian team is the only one within the group that is working on block chain development, whose applications extend beyond the financial market. The team that works currently on block chain technology is of around 10 people, but its size goes up or down according to clients’ needs.

What did you bring to IMWorld 2017?

Most clients of Cegeka Romania come from abroad but we have hundreds of developers here in Romania that work for projects abroad. We thought it was a good time to start business here and become more of a European company in this way. This is the first time Cegeka Romania comes here. We do not want to position ourselves as the brick and mortar guy who does your house but as the architect. We did not explain how block chain works, but wanted to show what it can do for you and show how we can help with that. We got a positive feedback, so it was a good result.

What are you looking to find at IMWorld 2017?

We wanted to get a better understanding of the local market. The booth where we can engage in  discussions is very helpful with this.
