Lidl has reached a total of 226 stores and 4 logistic centers after it has opened a new shop in Tuzla at the end of July.
In the process of building the Tuzla shop, advanced solutions and technologies have been used to reduce the energy footprint. For example, the building features a LED lighting system, controlled by the building management system and presence sensors, as well as a heat recovery system from the vicious air integrated into the ventilation system.
The new Lidl store will offer its customers a sales area of approximately 1,300 sqm and around 104 parking spaces.
Lidl, part of the Schwarz Group, headquartered in Neckarsulm, is one of Europe’s leading food retail companies with around 10,500 stores and over 150 logistic centers in 30 countries.
Currently, the retailer employs approximately 260,000 people, of which over 5,500 in Romania.
