On December 21, LIDL Romania opened a store in Constanta and one in Tulcea, thus ending the year with a 220-store network in the whole country. With each store opening, around 20 new jobs will be created.
The two stores were built using a concept that improves customer experience, creates a better work environment for employees and is environmentally sustainable thanks to the use of modern solutions and technologies.
The Constanta store will have a series of design improvements, including a taller roof and LED lighting with motion sensors that will help save energy. The store in Tulcea will be built on two floors, with parking on the ground floor and retail space on the top floor. New LIDL stores include a lounge area for employees.
