Libra Internet Bank net profit gains 85 percent in Q1 – lender plans expansion

The net profit of Libra Internet Bank moved up by 85 percent to EUR 3.45 million in the first three months of this year, compared to the same period of last year.

The net assets of the bank amounted to RON 2.6 billion, while the loan books was worth RON 1.6 billion. The bank has attracted funds worth RON 2.3 billion, up 46 percent compared to the same period of last year.

“In this year we will focus on developing new online products and services, also continuing our expansion of the network of branches. In the near future, we will open another two branches in Timisoara and Arad,” said Emil Bituleanu, the general manager of Libra Internet Bank.

The lender has a network of 44 branches in Romania. It had a market share of 0.64 percent at the end of 2015.
