Key move. Umberto Sessa is the new head of multinational clients of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Romania

Umberto Sessa is, starting with July 2016, the new head of multinational clients from the corporate division of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Romania. He will coordinate all the commercial  activities of the bank on international side.

„The strategy of our bank will focus on the market segment of companies, especially the corporate and SMEs part, with a selective presence on retail field. This is why we brought a specialist in our team with a wide experience and proved results on extremely dynamics and competitive markets. I trust Umberto, together with the entire local management team for bringing their contributions common objectives for the current year, as well as for the near future, ” said Marco Capellini, general director (CEO) Intesa Sanpaolo Bank.

Sessa has an experience of almost 30 years in the financial banking sector and worked in the last 22 years outside Italy, in Germany and Austria. After graduating from the University at Milano, majoring in Economics and Banking Sciences, he started his activity in 1985 within some consultancy firms and since 1988 he joined some banks that now are part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group.

He had for 8 years the role of general director of the Intensa Sanpaolo subsidiary from Vienna, and during the last 6 years he led the similar structure of the Group from Innsbruck. From these roles he coordinated the activity from Austria and Switzerland and worked with top multinational companies from the Central and Eastern Europe region.

Intesa Sanpaolo Bank is the local subsidiary of Intesa Sanpaolo, one of the most important international bank groups, that offers services for 19 million customers.
