The Romanian Association of Online Stores (ARMO) has announced the appointment of Florinel Chis as its new executive director. He has an experience of over 14 years in e-commerce, locally and at international level for companies from Fortune 500.
“The online commerce is in a strong development stage and I’m convinced that it will become quickly a common destination for most of the Romanian clients. ARMO is an important pillar for the online stores from Romania that want to prove that e-commerce is the most efficient and reliable way of doing modern commerce for the consumers’ benefit. My objective for this year is to apply the association’s principles in its members’ benefits and in the benefit of the potential members to increase the online commerce in Romania, “ says Chis.
Chis started his career during high school in 2007 as programmer. In 2006 he had his first start-up, a software and design development company that developed several projects for brands, such as Autodesk, eMAG, Romstal Group, PC Garage, Marketonline, Altex, Dedeman, Flanco. In 2012, Chis moved in the UK, working for online retailers and Warner Music Group, where he developed a global e-commerce platform for the group.
The ARMO actions will focus in three directions: the support of online stores and recognition of quality services, the constant analysis of online commerce trends and behavioral consumption analysis of the Romanian clients.
In his activity, Chis is supported by the new Director Council of Association formed by Mihai Patrascu (CEO evoMAG), Marian Alecsiu (co-founder F64), Gabriel Vasile (site manager SevenSins.ro), Tudor Manea (general manager eMAG Romania). Marius Ghenea remains the president of ARMO.
