Key move. Juan Canellas Balanza is the new chief sales officer of NN Life Insurance

NN Life Insurance appoints Juan Canellas Balanza as the new chief sales officer of NN Life starting April.

The new chief sales officer brings experience in designing and implementing sales operations strategies and leading sales teams both within NN Group and other leading companies across Europe. Balanza also has valuable expertise in digitalizing sales processes, a key pillar of NN Life Insurance’s strategy in Romania for the following years.

“As chief sales officer of NN Life Insurance Romania, my core mission will be to contribute to strengthening NN’s position and to leverage the development of the local life and health insurance market, helping Romanians clients to ensure and protect their financial future,” said Balanza.

Prior to joining the leadership team and board of NN Life Insurance, Balanza was chief sales officer of Nationale Nederlanden Poland in the past three years, playing a key role in further strengthening sales of protection and expanding multichannel distribution. With more than 23 years of professional experience, he joined NN Group in 2000, holding multiple management positions within NN’s operations in Spain and the Netherlands.

Balanza has a marketing and commercial management Degree form ESIC Business School in Madrid and an Executive MBA from Instituto de Empresa (IE), a top ranked European Business School from Madrid.
