The number of job vacancies in Romania has increased by 13,200 in the first three months of this year against the same period of last year, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The rate of job vacancies went up by 0.24 percent in the same period.
The biggest growth in job vacancies was registered in the constructions sector. It was up by 0.32 percent, which is equivalent to 1,100 jobs. On the other hand, the biggest drop in new job openings was seen in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors.
Most of the job vacancies are in the manufacturing sector, accounting for 25 percent of the total openings. Companies are looking to employ some 15,000 people.
The fewest job openings are in the extractive and real estate transaction industries.
