The deputy mayor of Bucharest Aurelian Badulescu says that the waste incinerator from the city, as well as the public heating system upgrade are the main projects for the current administration. He said municipality will use EU money to make these investments.
„Regarding the waste incinerator from the capital, through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program, we have EUR 180 million allocated, European funds, the total investment being estimated at EUR 250 million. The construction of this project has to be finalized until 2020, according to the terms from the Large Infrastructure Operational Program, ” said Badulescu.
Badulescu added that currently, there are auction procedures in progress for the acquisition of the technical assistance for the project ‚Installations of thermic treatment and the energy exploitation of the waste from capital’. The Bucharest City Hall also has on going tenders for project management services for the same installation and after the finalization of the feasibility study, of the master plan of waste management. The financing request will be made until January 2018.
