The third edition of the International Festival of Theatre Schools (FIST) will be held in Suceava between July 4-11.

The most important theatre schools from all over Romania will present their best performances during the event, which will take place in the “Matei Vişniec” Theatre and the “Joseph Schmidt” Auditorium. The entry for the festival is free.

Among the Romanian theatre schools invited to participate in the festival are the University of Theatre Arts and Cinematography “I.L. Caragiale” from Bucharest (UNATC), “Babes- Bolyai” University from Cluj-Napoca and the University of Craiova.

On the stage will also appear four theatre schools from Eastern Europe: The Music and Art Academy from the Republic of Moldova, The School of Film from Poland, The University of Arts of Slovacia and the National Film Academy of Bulgaria.

“This year we gravitated towards schools that come from the East-European area because we want this to be a starting point for the European projects. I think this will be the path this festival should follow in the future,” said Paul Chiributa, director of the festival.

This festival is organized by the FIST Association together with the University of Theatre Arts and Cinematography “I.L. Caragiale”. Other contributors include Suceava City Hall and The Romanian Cultural Institute.
