Insurer Asirom reports EUR 4.6 million gross profit for 2010

Insurance company Asirom has reported a EUR 4.6 million (RON 19.5 million) gross profit for 2010, and expects to double this amount this year.

Revenues from net re-insurance premiums for general insurances were of around EUR 83 million last year.  Revenues from net re-insurance premiums for life insurances stood at EUR 20.7 million (RON 87 million).

For this year Asirom plans to increase its revenues from subscribed gross subscribe by 21.5 percent in all insurance categories. Asirom has in its portfolio 35 insurance products for the life, accidents, and health segments, and over 60 goods, liability and car insurance products.

The insurance company is part of Vienna Insurance Group, which reported consolidated subscribed premiums of EUR 8.6 million for 2010, 7.2 percent up from the previous year. The group’s consolidated profit before taxes was of EUR 507.8 million for last year, a 15 percent increase on 2009.
