Insurance broker Netrisk relaunches Romanian operations with acquisition of isurance website

Insurance broker Netrisk announced it was relaunching its operations in Romania with the acquisition of www.asigura.ro. Besides selling insurances, the site will offer clients interested in buying insurance products comparisons of prices, together with reccomendations and information on the available offer, and news on the insurance market.

The relaunching of the site is done with a new management team led by Razvan Pavel, wo is bringing ten years of experience on the local insurance market in management positions with Allianz Tiriac and Groupama Romania.

Netrisk Romania is the representative of the largest online insurance broker in Hungary and has been present on the Romanian market since 2009, when it opened an office in Cluj and started several online operations through www.netas.ro. This year the company acquired asigura.ro, which it is turning in the company’s main sales platform.

In 2010 the majoity shares package of Netrisk Hungary was bought by Enterprise Investors, one of the largest private equity and venture capital investment funds in CEE. The fund currently administers a capital of over EUR 1.7 billion and has invested in more than 120 companies. In Romania, the fund has invested in construction company Macon, Siveco, retailer Profi and payroll services company Smartree.
