The unemployment rate adjusted seasonally in February reached 4.6 percent, at the same level with January, according to a release of the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The unemployment rate represents the share of unemployed in the active population.
The number of unemployed (aged between 15-74) estimated for February was 419,000 persons, a drop compared with the previous month (424,000 persons), as well as compared with the same month of the previous year (472,000 persons).
The unemployment rate among males exceeded the one among females by 0.8 percentage points, with 4.9 percent for males and 4.1 percent for females.
For adults (25-74 years), the unemployment rate was estimated to 3.4 percent for February (3.8 percent in case of males and 2.9 percent for females).
The number of unemployed aged between 25-74 years represented 69.4 percent in the overall number of unemployed estimated for February.
