INS: Annual inflation remains at negative level, of 0.7 percent in June

The annual inflation remained at negative level, of 0.7 percent in June, a growth of 3.5 percent since May, according to National Institute of Statistics (INS).

„The consumer prices, measured by the consumer prices index and based on the consumer harmonized prices index were lower with 0.7 percent in June 2016 compared with June 2015,” says the INS.

In June 2016 the merchandise and services ratio registered a drop in prices compared with June 2015 was 49.8 percent. The ones that had increases between 0 and 2.5 percent had a rate of 34.7 percent. The merchandise and services whose prices grew more than 2.5 percent had a rate of 15.5 percent.

The average rate of consumer prices in the last 12 months (July 2015- June 2016) was 2 percent compared with the past 12 months (July 2014- June 2015) based on the consumer prices index.

In June 2016, the consumer prices grew for the food merchandise by 0.03 percent, but the prices for non-food merchandise dropped by 1.22 percent and for services with 0.7 percent.
