German clothing maker Hugo Boss will close down a suit production factory in the Cleveland, United States in April this year and will transfer the production in Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey, which provide cheaper workforce, according to Cleveland trade union representatives quoted by US media. Hugo Boss intends to pay its 300 employees at its Cleveland factory although the production will be downsized until the factory will be completely closed down.
The Cleveland factory has been working only three days a week for the last year, while its employees were receiving only 60 percent of the monthly pay.
